My $15 gauge set up..

So I bought this Bluetooth OBDII adaptor a year ago and it works great with the android app torque pro. My only problem was pulling the adaptor out every night, because it was in the way and stuck out of the port too much. I used some velcro and an extension cable. Works great. Here's my set up.

I just threw this together right now. But im going to flip the OBD2 port so that cable can tuck under everything all clean like.

I dont leave the phone out I throw it in the center console.

And the bluetooth adaptor draws less current than the flashing LED light on our dash when we lock our cars.

I just mean I prefer the look of actual gauges instead of a phone. It's still good for keeping track obviously

Phone was free for me as I sell them and Samsung sent this to me promotionally.

What do you mean "does it take pictures right side up"?

Oh. I see that you're referencing the pictures that actually are right side up, with the adaptor which is facing the opposite way. Anyone who works on their car would know which way the obd2 port faces :P

If you really wanted to buy another phone for whatever reason instead of using your current android or iphone, then its $100. Or for its shorter younger brother $30. So worse case $45.

Thats a cool set up you have it looks clean. Does it direct connect or is it OBD2 as well?

The S3 Samsungs are about $60 at WalMart right now. I think the S4s are around $150.
