Will dealer replace tranny?

When I took delivery of my car back in March, there was a rattle coming from the transmission. You can feel the rhythm of it in the shifter. I took the car in with less than 100 miles on it and they kept it for two days only to tell me that it was "normal". I should have test drove another Camaro to see, but I didn't have time and have not gone back since. However, lately this sound has been bugging me, and now my clutch pedal is also vibrating in the same manner. Vibration seems to be rpm based, the more revs the more vibration and rattling. I recently drove my buddies 1SS exactly like mine, and I am furious as to his runs smooth and mine is noisy and rattling and the dealership says this is "normal". I am taking back on Monday, and I will not take "normal" as an answer anymore. Does anybody else have this problem with their car? Any suggestions before I go in?

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully when you go back they will see the issue and fix or replace it. If not I would escalate to corporate.

Just for the record I had an issue that was similar with 600 miles on the car..I have some mods done and they have nothing to do with what the problem was gm would not resolve it for me and it was a factory screw up ..I payed 700 in labor to find and fix the problem it was that gm forgot to locktite and torque the fly wheel bolts on my 1le as they backed out and I started to get some bad vibration through the shifter and clutch pedal ..I caught this before going to far and thank god I wasn't Revn it to red line ..this is why I mod my cars because warranty is useless now a days no one takes accountability or stands behind there work anymore..I bought a 14 chevy ss along with my 14 1le 5 times my ss has been in for crooked steering wheel and alignment issues and they have not been able to fix it I'm now getting an attorney and going to put it back through lemon law car has 4000 miles and steers right if I make the wheel straight.. and goes left if you let it go...good luck with your camaro..14 years with other brands no troubles then give gm 90 of my money and they do this..I love the cars but there service is worst...document everything so if you get hurt because of this issue or hurt someone else you can say I told you so ..

is it normal to hear a rattle underneath the car after pressing the clutch to put it on neutral from 1st or second at low speed? i haven't drove a manual in many years and im not sure if this is normal for manual cars.

Rattles, vibration, grinding, etc. IS NOT "normal" no matter where it's coming from. Take it to the dealer. Have them drive your car, then drive a new one (like yours) off the lot. Make sure they acknowledge the difference. Stick to your guns and make them fix it - get corporate involved or William/Marissa on the case for you.
