Now I know nobody ever bought a Camaro because it was fuel efficient.
But this is my third one and its a 2012 with less than 11k on the clock but it it is averaging 15mpg. I don't remember my other two ever getting less than 17. Any ideas?

A lot of factors, none of which is necessarily the engine malfunctioning, determine how much gas mileage you are getting. 15 is not that much removed from 17. You are splitting hairs. I get about 16 but do mostly 'around town' driving. When I'm on the interstate for a significant ride, I can get about 23 or 24 mpg. I think your SS is right where it probably should be unless it is all highway driving.

What octane fuel are you running? Depending on what grade sometimes will give +1 or -1 mpg

I always run 91 octane. this weekend it dropped down to 14.5. And I live and work in the same little town. as i said this is my third SS.and my other two never dropped that low. It's just something I will have to keep an eye on this morning I reset the mpg counter,drove the 3 miles to work and when I pulled in it said 18.5 so i don't know whats up.
