road tripping local style

here's my non-daily driver report. would like to hear yours...
I go out about twice a week to *stretch her legs* at least 30 minutes or twenty miles. I decided the post holiday lunch hour might be good for less traffic and more fun. WRONG. Up on the toll road I go 75 cents in the kitty ( for less than a mile ) and the road is packed. Flashing lights just ahead as it seems a pick up truck and another car managed to meet with the pickup now against the concrete median. Typical. In the same first mile on the right more flashing lights as a female in a Infiniti and a minivan have had a crunchy altercation. *sigh*
Switchover to the main interstate and more traffic. Still have not and CANNOT apply any throttle. Stuck trolling along in the far right granny lane until finally I've had enough making my move to the rail. So far uneventful = two dump trucks spewing gravel and soccer mom / minivan to my right - she's looking down/yelling into her iPhone. Across the way in opposing lanes I spy a Gen 4 Z-28 abandoned on the roadside. Arrested or broke down I wonder. All white with a very high ( 6" ) high rise hood and aftermarket wheels. A little farther up a Jaguar XK ( newer ) or is it an Aston Martin ? Can't really tell. meh. Then a bumblebee Gen 5 SS comes at me on the rail in the opposite direction. Nice car. Off the interstate still trolling along without any opportunity for burning extra petrol and another dump truck. Someone in a BMW Z-4 doesn't seem to mind tailgating a dump truck. Pass the Mercedes dealer and they put a black Challenger front and center on the used car side.
Maserati *yawn* then my first LOL as a guy in a purple Ford Ranger work truck crosses all three lanes in front of traffic to make a right hand turn from the far left. He gets the award today. Next I spy a charcoal Audi R8 ( top down ) don't see those much. It must have been Audi R series day since I did see three or four but not 8's. He's going in my direction so I follow along. I know the kids love these six figure supercars but not my style. To me it looks like the designer went nuts as in overdone. Just my taste - for exotics I prefer the Ferrari 458. We get to a stop light and my window is down - he says nice car not once but twice. I notice the V10 emblem on his fender. Asked him how long he has had it ( six weeks ) and does he like it ( stupid question ) He answers " I love it ". Car guys are the best people. Back towards home after the grocery store stop n chat where my friend reminds me that she hates Tom Brady and that the Patriots cheat. I nearly get sideswiped by a GMC pickup ( he was doing a farmer turn for those of you don't who know = he thinks he had an imaginary trailer hooked up ) and then last but not least closer to home a guy in a dodge stratus is in the wrong lane to so he just cuts me off at the light. All in less than one hour. Welcome to mickey mouse town.

This is a great car. It makes any drive better.
