I have had my car about 3 weeks now and notice when the engine is cold there seems to be a dead spot in the throttle below 2000 RPM. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just my car? It seems to go away when the engine warms up.

What gear is the car in when you notice this "dead spot?"

Some people on this site are idiots. People are on here to try to find good information about there cars and it seems to me that there is always a smart ass in the crowd putting some stupid comments on post. If you dont have any good info or a good question dont post !!!!

I have a 2SS M6 (your is a SS right?) as well and I notice this as well when I begin driving with a cold engine. So I guess this is probably normal and the engine just needs to warm up.

Thanks for the info. Yes mine is a SS I guess the engine is somewhat cold natured. Just never really had this happen with a fuel injected engine before.

Same thing here.
I've noticed the same thing. When cold (not up to normal running temp) it feels like there is almost nothing there for the first 10% of throttle tip-in. Once I get to a certain point, its like an on/off switch. Mines a 1SS with Manual now at 300 miles. This doesn't last long since the engine only takes about 30 seconds to reach temp (which is likely a sign that the engine is still pretty tight). We'll see if it gets better with more miles.

My SS seems reluctant to "take throttle" the first little bit, and then really takes off. I hope it quits it when it gets some more miles on it. My Firehawk and 05 GTO never seemed to have this problem.

Mine does the same thing. I let her warm up before driving off. But I can tell you if you start and drive off, you will notice the dead spot.

Same here seems to almost bog or hit a lull for the first minute or so. I'm not sure what it is but would like to know. It's still there even after a dyno tune.
