Anything to clean scratches on the plastic of the interior?
Is there anything to take of the tiny scratches on the plastic of the inside of the door? I guess the seatbelt hits it or whatever, even though I always tell passengers in my car to be careful.
![]() It's no big deal, but is there anything I can use to remove them? |

Is there any deep scratches or is it just surface rubs? I know i get that all the time and it seems if i use some armor all seems to remove the rubs, if its deeper i don't know anything that can get them out.

I've heard of people using petroleum jelly and that has worked.

I thought that was for the exterior only... can you use it on the inside?
I thought Z14 was for the interior plastic.

Are you looking for protection for the painted plastic area of the door on the 5th Gen.?
If so, I'd actually put of coat of Z-5 on it. To clean it, I'd doubt it would be very dirty. But, to clean it, I'd fill a small bucket with some car wash soap, soak a 100% cotton small towel, and lightly clean the surface. After allowing it to dry, I'd add a coat of polish. (Thats what I'd d to my 5th Gen. ) * I'd be very careful in choosing what to use, as well as how you use anything on the plastic. It's not as "hard" a surface/finish as the exterior paint surface. You NEVER want to use anything harsh, nor do you ever want to "scrub", use much pressure, in cleaning the interior surfaces. * |

I think I might try that meguiar's stuff, as I can pick it up locally.

I'd only recommend you try it first on an inconspicuous spot to make sure it does the job you're seeking. The reason it is a "cleaner/polish" is due to the fact that it may contain a mild abrasive (used in the "cleaning" process.) ![]() Good luck! Ed |
