45WHP with Rotofab and JBA catted mids dyno proven
Solo, or any other brand? I was wondering if this is a worthwhile mod? I know on a SS it is, but the ZL1 burns converters I've heard. I'm thinking of fabricating my own pipes using the Kooks Green cats for no check engine life and no melting of the cats. Can anyone share there experience with this mod before I invest time and money. Thanks
EDIT........ SEE POST #3 A member was kind enough to send a dyno of his results. I'm assuming a 500hp baseline, 20-25hp for the Rotofab, so that's about a 20WHP gain from the JBA catted midpipes. That's NO TUNE ALSO. I'm wondering why more don't go this route and run right away to spend a fortune on headers? What am I missing? With the addition of a 10% pulley and some Torco ???? This I will definately be trying in the spring when I can actually drive my car. Last edited by unstable vic; 03-05-2015 at 07:58 AM. |

That's like a 45hp gain from a Rotofab intake and the high flow cats. Very substantial.
