Mods and hp gain

So a tuner around bere said in order to get 75 hp gains I would have to do pulley , CAI, long tube header, tune, and injectors. Shouldn't thay get me more than 75?

He also said that a tune, 10% pulley mod and CAI wouks only get me 50. That seems low to me. Usually I have been seeing 75 from those. These number quoting are at the wheel. Even if he is using a conservative dyno the difference still should be in line.

93 octane

So in Des moines Iowa i found out I can get 93 octane at 20 miles away at Walmart or in town at Cosco. Murphy gas at Walmart. Don't know about cosco quakilty. Anyone?

Also very important question. How long does 93 octane have to sit to lose its octane to say 91? I may not fill up for weeks at a time. This is a weekend driver. So I guess I could just do have tank fill ups.

Just debating on what I should tune for. 91 or 93 when I get to that point.

I'm going next week to see and meet Ted Jannetty and do his 75 rwhp Kit and long tubes and super flow cats. We hoping to get 85 to 95 more rwhp we see. Gonna Dyno afterwards. I already have the roto-Fab, mild to wild kit, vmaxx throttle. I hope to be at 560 rwhp if not I guess I will be back for more lol

Why would you need a tune to run something the car has factory fuel tables for?

I was just saying that when I get the 75 rwhp Kit and the long tubes I would be getting it tuned and I always use 93 octane and wouldn't get a tune for any less octane. That's all I ment.

I just recently did pullies, intake, and injectors and that netted me nearly 70whp over a baseline pull with only the intake on. this is with 93 octane on a dynojet.

Being in corn country I would think you would have e85 prevalent. If so, that is cheap race fuel. The challenge with it is its an organic fuel and goes foul much quicker than an ethanol blend. e85 often carries an octane near 104+. Just an idea.

He would want to injectors too if he does have e85 available.

Hello,

To get 75-85 RWHP only requires my 75 RWHP Package

Rotofab or CAI brand cold air kit
10% crank pulley and belt
SCT tuner with JRE custom tune.

Catch can is recommended and optional.
JRE crank case breather is also recommended and optional.

My packages are set up so you can build on them

ADD
Injectors
18% crank pulley and belt
Headers
Fuel pump voltage booster
New tune and you get 125 RWHP over stock.

Ted.

Very true as even with factory pullies the the factory injectors would be hard pressed to run e85. But if you just did a pulley, tune for e85, injectors, and CAI I think one could find some pretty impressive numbers.
