Funny story about my ZL1 Grille

First off, I'm a manager at UPS.

So I ordered a ZL1 Grille from Phastek Performance back in early March. It arrived in the Chicago hub on Tuesday morning at 1:00am(the hub I work in). So I put the tracking number into the system and it tells me what trailer it's in based under the trailer number.....so I'm in a trailer talking to one of my employees and I get a text saying that my package is in trailer # 359679. So I look at my sheet of all the trailers I ran and what do you know, it's in same trailer I'm standing in at the moment!!! So I pull the employee out and put my best employee in there. I stand there for 25 minutes and I see a box with "Genuine GM products" on it. I grab it immediately and check the label. It was mine! It was in perfect condition! We use 40 bays to spot trailers in to be unloaded, I run 10 of those bays. Can't believe it was in the truck I was in!!

So now I leave the building with it and it won't fit in my car So I'm sitting there trying to think how to do this...when my co-worker pulls up laughing at me So he offers to put it in his car and follow me home. He drives a Dodge Charger btw. So we struggle to put it in his car for about 5-10mins and finally it goes in. Then I say "why don't we just take it out of the box?" He looks at me like "Oh yeah wtf?!" So I try to pull the box out and it's stuck, will not budge at all So then he drove to my house and I had to cut the box open and pull the Grille out!!

Never felt dumber in my life lol!!!! Turned something so simple into a project LOL!!!

Yes lol but it would have to go across several belts with 1,000s of other packages, not to mention it being handled by several people other people that could drop it or something... And local stuff doesn't leave until like 7-8am. So It would've sat on the floor for hours. I didn't wanna risk it being smashed while sitting there.

You could have took it, put it in your office or somewhere safe and when it was time for the truck to leave you could have personally put it on the truck.
