I should have bought a Summit White ZL1 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Went with a new '14 Ashen Grey ZL1, which is looks nice too, but being a pro detailer, I see all the dust, swirls/scratches, fingerprints, etc. Black is worse! Never will I buy a black car again. Anyhow, summit white is easy to maintain and looks NICE!!!

I know the feeling! I'm heading into weekend #3 of detailing mine...but it's still to cold and the roads are littered with temporary pothole patch anyway. If I would have bought black I would have just given up.

^^^^^^ I agree!!! Mine is black and I do like it.White is also a great color but I just have never really wanted to own a white car or truck. Just looks generic to me I guess.

Black is my favorite color but I just couldn't see myself getting another black car. My 04 Cobra and 02 Camaro SS drove me nuts with trying to keep them clean. I am glad I went with Summit White. Car looks mean with the black ten spokes.

Black is Bad Ass ...always has been...always will be. It's a fact.

White is nice like silver, it never looks dirty...but....it never POPS. Being a pro detailer you should know that, I love the deep reflections you get with black, why would you buy a colour you didn't like....It's like you married a small Chinese girl and then decided you like tall women.

So many posts here about regret ...ohh I shoulda got a M6 or an auto...v6 or v8, ile or zl1......damn don't you guys research know what you want ?

I agree. Nothing is better than a detailed black car. A murdered out Z is one of the best looking cars by far. But I always buy white, easiest color to maintain and still looks sharp.

Way back in the day, 1982... I had a Black 75 Corvette Convertible, 1 of 4629. I lived on 60 acres at the end of a dirt road. I was 21 with 12 points on my license. If that wasn't bad enough... try keeping it clean....

The ZL1 looks great in all colors IMO. I bought a SW becuase I already got a black car.
I hand wash and detail my cars and always wanted to get a white one to stay clean as long as possible, especially in our dusty region. Did I mention the ZL1 does look good in SW

Yes, black does pop and have the most depth. I never said it didn't. What I meant, being a pro paint polisher, I see things on black cars that most don't. Countless times I've pointed out massive swirls to clients that they were unaware of. All they see is clean black paint. I see every little detail on black cars. Too much maintenance on a black car to worry about. If I wasn't so anal about my paint, it would be different.
