Car Ramps Question

I'm going to use car ramps to lift the rear when I install my axle back exhaust. Does the front spoiler come close to scraping when backing up onto the ramps ?

Did you have a problem with them sliding ? Mine have the rubber piece on the bottom but sometimes they slid on the front wheels.

How far off the ground do they get you to install headers? They recommend 2 feet of clearance and the set I have are not that high. I might do this too if it works.

Nope, I did mine in the garage both going up on them and backing up onto them, 0 sliding issue.

What ramps do you have? The rhino ramps worked for me. And they are't that high. You don't need barely that much space. Except the driver side to get the stock manifold out, you either have to disconnect the cat from the manifold because the steering column in the way or unhook the steering column. To put the longtube in I didn't have to unhook steering column.

That looks like shit, no offense. I would not get underneath a car that was supported by that. My life is not worth saving 50 bux over proper ramps.

Oh and you have to rely on the parking brake to hold the car from moving back and forth, unlike most ramps which have a flat horizontal perch with bump stops on either end.

Well the wood cost $20 and you have put them together, so it's even less than a $50 delta. I might build some real quick if I need them and could not get set easily. I just got a set in perfect condition, made in USA, off CL for $20.

I had to get the long race ramps to clear the spoiler. The ramps has a recess to help hold the car in place.

I have an old steel set but I was concerned about clearance but if you say there is enough room I just might give it a shot. I can always get the jack stands out if needed.
