I think my engine finally "woke up"

So as some of you may know, I have been pretty critical of the way my V6 has been driving, as in not too fast. It appears 1,656 miles is the magic number Maybe it was because I took it on an extended drive on the freeway and opened it up to well over 60MPH I have been trying to stay around, I dont know. Maybe because it finally cooled down outside and I dont have to have the A/C on? I dont know.

When I think about it now, I have never owned a BRAND new car. They have all had at least a few thousands miles on them, sometimes more. So I have never had to deal with breaking one in. Not sure why but all of the sudden its much faster, and thats a good thing.

No, its my 3rd American car actually. This may be a question for the engine sub-forums but what kind of mods are there for the V6? I am thinking another 30-40HP and some more TQ should make it even better.

Actually to be honest you should have changed it after about 50 miles to clear the junk from assembly and the fine metal particles out that the initial honing of the rings against the cylinder wall produced. All that crud has been circulating in your engine all this time. Change the oil and filter ASAP. Every car manufacturer should just include that first 50-100 mile oil/filter change as part of their vehicle prep. It would make engine's last longer...well there ya go, just answered my question as to why they don't lol.
