Positive displacement cams and effect on boost
I have a Magnuson Heartbeat on my '14 1LE. I'm no cam expert. From what I have read, some cam overlap will help bleed off some cylinder pressure and too much duration will make piston to valve clearance too tight. I've also read it is better to keep valve lift below .620 for valve train life. If I'm looking to keep boost levels lower and add good power, what kind of cam specs have worked for you guys? At what point does the overlap become too much and bleed off too much boost? I already have the Brian Tooley platinum spring kit installed, good for .650 lift. I plan on making some calls. But, I would like to hear your guys experience as well.

Yup, definitely leaning towards a Brian Tooley cam.

Go BTR Stage 3 PD cam, and you won't be disappointed.
