quick boost calculation question

ok, so im gettin ready to buy a metco balancer with a 10" pulley which is supposed to yield a +5.5 increase in boost, im also going to be doing a set of 2" primary headers and 3" exhaust probably with slp lm2 mufflers. ive read that when you do headers and delete the cats you will have a little loss of boost, so my question is how much boost ahould i expect total when adding a 10" crank pulley and headers at the same time? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will probably lose 1 lb of boost with the headers and exhaust so you should have a net increase of 4.5 lbs.

I have a 2.55 upper and a 9.55 lower. With ported heads and blower plus cam and headers we are making 15.4 lbs of boost.

You didn't mention anything about injectors, You will need ID-850s to support any pulleys larger than 8.86

You will lose about 1 psi boost from stock manifolds and cat to LT headers and off road pipes.

Ted.

thanks for the input Ted. im planning on probably getting id1000s or something similar due to me having several other parts stashed back. my initial setup will be:
102mm tb/ported snout and blower
4.5" intake
brian tooley stage 2 positive diplacement blower cam
brian tooley springs/titanium retainers
probably texas speed 2" primary headers
3" xpipe and custom stainless exhaust
2.5" metco upper pulley, metco balancer 9.1" pulley
and im workin on a custom heat exchanger cooling system.
car will be dyno tuned by tick performance i guess since theyre closest

anybody have a guess on dyno numbers?

I only have an upper 2.55 pulley and I am making 15 lbs of boost. I have some other small mods, but I don't think they are directly contributing to the boost. I was only making about 12.5 lbs of boost until I did a simple Modification I heard about on here; it took only 10 minutes and I gain nearly 3lbs of boost. I don't know how to find the post, or I would include the link, but it a mod. you do to the boost shut off valve. there is a stop plate that allow boost to bleed by and it comes from the factory with a small gap, if you close the gap, of the boost stop plate you will get some easy fast boost gains. someone else on here will know what I am talking about. glta.

yes that is the Modification I was talking about. I am not a mechanic, and I did it myself in 10 minutes with nothing other than a 10mm socket. I spend a lot of cash to get 3 lbs of boost between upper pulley and injectors, and to think you can get 2-3 lbs of boost in under 10 minutes for Free!!. Seriously the first mod everyone should do, because apparently this setting almost never comes correctly adjusted from the factory.
