Compilation of ZL1 upgrades from SS?

Does anyone know if there is a list compiled of all of the unique ZL1 parts when compared to an SS? I've searched around and can find references to many of them discussed independently, but can't seem to find one unified list. Perhaps it doesn't exist.

Thanks

I know when GM first released the ZL1 a spokesman said that 40% of the parts were different than the SS. I have never seen a complete parts list but the entire drivetrain is different. Most of the suspension is different but some ZL1 parts made it onto the 1LE. Several cosmetic differences inside and out.

To start, the LSa is a totally different animal with several trick features to increase reliability. The 6 speed is also a different model as is the rear end. Of course there's the magnorheo... something, something dampers. Larger sway bars. Hood, gfx, steering wheel & shifter knob.

I'm sure there's more.

He is a good part list not the exact one I was looking for.

http://www.chevrolet.com/performance...s/1le-zl1.html

I do recall when I bought my ZL that found a complete parts list for the ZL. Back on topic if I was going to make a SS into ZL-1. I'd just find a ZL and buy it. It would be easier and a whole lot cheaper.

Oh, I agree - I don't want it for upgrade purposes. As others mentioned I heard that stat about "33% unique parts" and I was interested in what they were just for conversational reasons.

Thanks!

The ZL1 Registry has a good list of unique parts although I do no think it is 100% complete. Check it out.
