Ported Throttle Body, New vs Used

OK, looking at getting a VMAX ported TB and I see on some websites you can actually order a new one. So, let the flood gates open and lets here your thoughts.

New or Used???? Any rationale would help too.

Thanks

Honestly if I remember correctly the only difference between New and Used is one of them was ported and polish as it was bought brand new where used its a take off and ported and polished. I did new just because I am OCD, so outside of that I really have no rationale. Honestly I think either one is going to do the same regardless. I actually could tell the difference in power after install.

No difference as all are tested prior to machining. You can buy your own brand new core to send into one of the porter's for around $125 from some GM dealers on EBay so no core charge needed.

Tampa Tuning has them in stock pretty sure, and tons of before and after dyno sheets to show the gains.

I'd love to see one independent shops test to show any gains whatsoever on a ZL1 ported vs stock. Untuned. Back to back tests. There are no gains.
