Oil cooler on 2011

Well first would this part be covered under powertrain warranty? It was leaking oil, took it apart thought I'd find a bad O ring or gasket...all good... thought maybe the bolts were not tight enough so put it all back together, put 8 quarts of oil and a gallon of coolant back it. Fired it up and......yeah frickin leaks. It appears like the actual cooler block is leaking. The whole assembly is $333 on rock auto, $284 for the block itself, plus another $60 for another oil change and coolant. This better be covered under the standard power train warranty. Already got shafted by GM on the convertible top issue these cars had, had to fix it on my own dime. Now this all on a car that only has 20,000 miles on it.......quality is not job one at the general

It may not be he cooler at all.

When the oil pan leaks on the driver's side, the oil will come down on the oil cooler, making it appear as if the cooler is leaking when in fact, it's really the oil pan. This has happened to me.

Its the cooler. Only leaks when running. You can see the oil seep out.

is it the coolant for the oil cooler or actual oil? My oil cooler line was leaking coolant from the block. The fitting was cross threaded from the factory. GM ended up replacing my block under warranty even with my current mods. I had to pay for the labor to reinstall all my mods into the new block though...

Op, do a google search on "oil cooler leak on 2010 camaro". This was a common problem in the early days. Happened to a friend on his 2010.
