Single turbo and exhaust note

Is it the turbo thats changing my exhaust note? It sounds like a truck sometimes. I changed the axle back to borla atak and it made a huge difference but still not what I want. Had to add magnaflow 11386 to help out. Anyone with single turbo get theirs to sound good?

the turbo is part of the exhaust of course it will change the exhaust note. by sounding good if you mean like a NA or SC v8 than no it will never have the same sound to it, the exhaust has to flow though the turbo unlike the others

Mine sounds like crap too. I think it's the design of the down pipe and the way it merges. Sounded fine when I had the twins.

Wonder if there's a way to get it back. I almost want to go with blower and some long tubes just for sound.

i think ive had some sucess with this. leaking v bands on the downpipe. very small leak you coudlnt hear at all. i started car cold and sprayed soapy water and saw some small leaks. sealed it up and the exhaust sounds better. so now im gonna cut the magnaflow mid muffler out of there again tomorrow.

ill get some sound clips tomorrow

mine doesn't sound all that different at idle, cruising around and downshifting at certain rpms car sounds a little off like a tractor trailer
