Poor Performance, CEL Flash, Service Stabilitrak, TC/SC Lights On

I've found a number of threads on this issue that recommend checking plugs, wires, coils, valve springs, etc. and I'm running out of head to scratch. I'm seeing a few random misfires, but mostly cylinder 3 yet the wire, plug, coil, injector, valve, piston, compression check good.

The problem usually pops up after a cold start, short warmup, good WOT pull, then a bad WOT pull. These are not required input conditions though as I've seen poor performance (without warning lights) during normal driving immediately following a good WOT pull.

Next planning to drain/replace possible bad fuel, but this should impact more than cylinder 3, then we data log on the dyno.

Anything else we should be looking at?

BTW, I have about 2k miles of good performance on a Turbonetiics stage 2 kit.

What are the actual CEL error codes that are being generated?

A few P0300, but mostly P0303

I had this problem actually last week, but it was a p0207 error followed by a p0300. I'd pulled the spark plug to check it and it had looked fine, but the problem followed when I swapped it from cylinder 7 to 5 (I'm assuming you already did the plug swap). I would think if it was a tune issue it wouldn't consistently hit on cylinder 3, but I'm no expert.

I've heard of incorrect wiring causing this sort of problem (not that the wire was bad, just done wrong) but I would think that would have manifested itself far before you hit 2k miles.

I don't know - not that it's useful, but I figured I would post and scratch my head until someone with more knowledge came along.

Seems that the driver side cat was rattling at just the right frequency and amplitude to trigger the cylinder 3 knock sensor, which caused the ECU to pull timing. Odd that this cylinder had the majority of the codes (maybe just the right resonance) and I'm scratching my head over why misfires were being reported. Whatever the case, removing the damaged rattling hfc's has solved the problem (for now).

I've learned a hard lesson about using hfc's for a high hp application and I've attached a picture showing cat shrapnel embedded in one of my waste gate valves. The turbo seems to be ok, but this could have been catastrophic!

Damn good thing you didn't trash your turbo. Glad you found the cause.
