Header install... 1 step colder plugs?

I am about to do a header install and I have 1 step colder plugs that are going to go in due to raising the boost with a 28%OD pulley that has NOT gone on yet. I am doing just the headers at this point, but my question is are these plugs ok to put in without a tune or the 28%OD pulley?

Car has Roto-fab intake, and 5%OD pulley. It will have Stainless Power headers tomorrow... Just wondering if it is ok to put the colder plugs in since I'll have the stock ones out anyway...

Sure, it will be fine until the pulley goes in later.

Besides a check engine light, do you see any issue running headers, 5%OD pulley, and a roto-fab on the stock tune?

The colder plugs are really not needed until you increase boost. Your 5% pulley and now Adding the headers are really canceling each other out. Any gain in boost from your 5% will be returned when you put the headers on.
Now with that said is it going to hurt your car? Absolutely not. Plugs do not need to be tuned for and you do eventually plan on increasing your boost significantly with the 28%, so mys well get it done now.

Also on another note I just added my stainless power headers with high flows to my set up and they are great, excellent craftsmanship, fitment and quality. And they sound amazing! Your going to love them.

No issues with running stock tune with that stuff. Only thing is, you will get the most out of any mod you do with the proper tune. Especially when it comes to pulleys and headers.

I plan on getting a tune very soon. Just wanted to start getting this stuff put on in stages to ensure the car isn't down for days at a time.

I am halfway done. This was less easy than previously indicated. Had a major issue with a ground bolt on the passenger side that wouldn't let the header sit flat against the engine unless I removed it.

You didn't have to remove it, just grind it down.. thats what I did.

I just unbolted it then put it back after putting the header on.

Also the passenger side downstream o2 sensor didn't come out, it was apparently crossthreaded from factory...

I must have been lucky with the 02 sensor thing. They way I always remove them is to put an open ended 7/8 wrench on them and whack the wrench with a hammer...they always come loose easily this way and with little effort. At my tuning shop the tech was struggling with an 02 that was supposedly "crossthreaded". I grabbed a 7/8", did my trick, and it popped loose easily. The impact of the hammer breaks loose the corrosion where a simple pull of a wrench or socket gets you nowhere. That ground has never caused an issue, but the dipstick tube bracket had to be relieved on one set of headers I installed.
