Shave heads with night fury cam

Heads coming off this winter to get ported. How much are you guys cutting off the heads and not have to fly cut? Running 93 octane.

I can't speak from experience about the heads part. I do know that when we checked PTV on my car I only had .080" on the intake side.

We do a custom cnc valve job & can deck the heads .015" and keep stock p/v with the PRC custom cnc porting & cnc valve job. Power gains from porting & milling is roughly 25-30hp.

Would you have to fly cut PRC LS3 Aftermarket 6-Bolt 255cc CNC Cylinder Heads with night fury cam?

Absolutely not. In fact, you should be able to mill them to 65cc chambers without issue

.080 is stock/standard for intake, no?
If you say that's twice what I need then that instills confidence in my setup in my sig. I'm at .075 on intake with 65cc chambers on my prc heads. With .035-.038 preload on my lifters I would have to have a serious overspeed to smack valves...

Absolutely! the PRC heads have BETTER THAN STOCK PTV, even at 65cc chambers(that is just your heads with .018 or so milled off the deck).
Stock, 68cc chambers on the PRC255's are about .020 better PTV than stock.

You may just want to get the stock GMPP ported heads for $1200 like I did and sell your stockers as the prices can vary widely for porting. And shaving the heads to gain in what tiny bit of compression you may get can net you maybe 5hp if you go one point of compression ......compared to having ported heads making 20-30 hp. Also various aftermarket heads are out there for a lot more $$$ But hey if you get a good deal and are happy that's what counts. As long as it gets put back together right...lol
