Fluid for truetrac
Those with the eaton truetrac what fluid are you using? I'm thinking of the torco RGO.

Eaton recomends a non-synthetic without friction modifier for optimum performance, but I think they said it will operate fine with synthetic as long as it doesn't have the friction modifier. I use redline products so 75w90NS is without the modifier.

I called Lucas today and they said all their gear oils have an additive agent in them which makes me wonder how you guys are not having issues with it. I called Eaton first and they said make sure i dont use a fluid made for a LSD and no synthetics.

Quote:
the additive agent they mentioned, is it a friction modifier specific for LSD (plate type) differentials? i ask because, my true trac has been trouble free for ~35k miles. i do change the Lucas out regularly though.
