Back to where it should be!

Man, I think I just made about the best investment ever in Camaro audio. I went from an iPhone to an Android device.

When I bought my car I had a Galaxy Note II. The Mylink functions all worked, all the buttons (Pandora, etc) worked like you expected. I could be listening to the radio and get a call and when the call was over, it would go back to the radio again. I could get a text message and reply simply by hitting a pre-programmed reply from the screen. Last December I switched to an iPhone 6 Plus and Mylink never worked the same. Automatically Pandora and the texting stopped working like before. The Pandora button was greyed out and I couldn't reply to a text from the Mylink screen. I could, of course, engage Siri to do that for me but with iOS 9.0, even that got squirrelly. Half the time I'd engage Siri and I'd get nothing except a beep after about a minute. Then the radio would be stuck on the phone and would pull up music (streaming) that I've never listened to in my life! If I got a phone call, when I'd hang up the same thing would happen, the radio would be stuck on the phone and it would start streaming music I'd never listened to before.

Yesterday we made the switch from iPhones to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edges and immediately everything got better. I could reliably make a phone call using Mylink. I could reply to a text simply by pressing a preset number on the screen. I could take (or make for that matter) a phone call and the radio would switch back to the radio when the call was over. It's like having a new car all over again!

Now I'm off to get a VTC for some more fun!

Never have had any good things to say about Apple products. I've had similar problems like you Open and other problems with other Apple products. Worst part is Apple never stood behind their products when I took them in for warranty work. It was always my fault that it wasn't working correctly, so the repair cost was more than replacing the item with the new item. I personally stay away from Apple now, but that's just me.

I have never had positive experiences with Apple. I have always used Android and currently have the Nexus 6P. Love pure Android.
My wife has some apple pads but they are pure hell. When they work all is fine but when you have a problem you may as well through them into the trash.
