Rear Main Seal Cover Tool

Anyone have a rear main seal cover centering tool that I could use? I could pay a deposit or something and get refunded back when I ship it back.

Purchase a complete new cover from chevrolet, on my ls6 it came with the seal installed, at the proper depth, and was only abt $30 more than the seal, ithink
Well, , atleast research it.

There is a website for sac city corvette and they sell a tools for both the rear main seal and the front cover seal. They might be $30 each I was doing a cam swap and picked up their front cover seal tool and it worked out great.

That's the tool I was looking for. Really was hoping someone had one I could borrow. I have a Chevy 2500 with a 6.0 that's leaking at the rear main seal housing not the seal itself. If someone has one I could borrow that would be awesome.

The best choice is to replace the cover with the seal installed. Available from GM.

Is this a new updated design or just the seal pre installed?

from what I recall reading i believe they were having so many covers warping that they now sell the cover with the seal installed.
