My Dilemma
Hey guys. I have a bit of a decision on my hands. I was nice enough to lend my car to Pacesetter in Phoenix for a week so that they could fab up some headers, a performance exhaust, some resonators and a few other various pieces. In return they have promised me a FREE set of headers (my choice of either long tubes or shorties). This is about a $600 value (according to Fred, the manager of Pacesetter). I REALLY don't want to void my warranty because I actually got a 72 month/72,000 mile plan and I drive my car long distances. SO. . .Do I take the free headers and void the warranty or should I keep my warranty intact. I'm finding it hard to turn down a free set of headers, but, again, I really want to keep my warranty just incase something should happen. Any helpful thoughts

Get them (dont install) and sell them or keep them until your warranty expires...

I'd be happy to put them on my car for you. HaHaHa
I don't think your warranty will be voided except for the exhaust system maybe. Unless the headers are the cause of any issue you have, warranty claims cannot be denied. (this is what I have heard from various sources in the industry)

this is what I would do if you were serious about the warranty. have them go back to stock and keep the LT's in the garage till your warranty expires. or ensure the shorties are CARB certified and go with them.... but you'll end up wanting to upgrade to LT's in the future
