How deep is the stock tread?

My goodyears are starting to look thin at only 5000km lol....maybe im enjoying the power too much.

Nevertheless. I have about 2 mm before i will start hitting the treadwear indicators. My question is how deep is a new set down to the treadwear indicators? 5mm ? 7mm? 10mm? I'm trying to guage when i should be trying to order a new set.

I know when these tires are new they have 8/32". Most only get about 10,000 miles out of them on the average. If you spin out often............well much less. Just tell the wife their worn out and get what you want!!

One of my best friends owns a local tire shop/wholesaler. I have to call him tomorrow to see how long it will take. I ordered them just to have them based off what i heard about order times on here.

I can't find MPSS tires that are the STOCK size. I don't want to go bigger. Are these made in stock sizes or only 315?

They make your front just fine, but the rear you'll have to step from the 305 to the 315.

Yeah no 305 for the rears. 315 only. There were rumors of a 305 being made but i havent heard any further details on that.

I wish they would. I don't want to change the size of the tires but I like the idea of the MPSS.

I just put on a set and have about 500 miles on them. I'll see if I can get a measurement for you tonight. I got 14,500 miles on the last set, but they probably should have been replaced before then.

14500 miles! Lol i wish. I think im going to get about 6000 miles maybe 7. They were half worn or more by the sounds of it when i bought the car at 4000 miles. Then i had some fun with them too.

I think i will take some measurements to show difference in size and post em. Cause i had similar concerns, well i still do, but we shall see. My tire guy says they are tough to find for a good price right now but he thinks his michelin rep should be able to find them. Might be a bit before i actually get them.
