I have painted my ZL1 !! (bis)
For those who liked the following thread:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435249 I have made another one! This time it is based on a VATERRA model, RC electric, scale 1/10. You can buy a transparent body and customise it as you like. I have made it exactly the same as mine. The body being a "coupe", I have reproduced the convertible top with black tissue tape, it is quite realistic. The wheels are from a Corvette Stingray, as VATERRA do not provide the ZL1 aluminium type. They look similar to the ZL1. It is a great model to run, it goes pretty fast and is fun to drive, but not as fun as the real one!!

Very cool !! Where did you get the new clear body shell ? Just your local hobby shop ? I would love to do one in the same color as my ZL1 !!! |

Looks great, but I gotta ask. Why did you paint the outside? I paint the inside of mine so WHEN I hit something it doesn't completely ruin the paint.
