Used 2014-2015 zl1 price?

Hi all, looking to purchase a used zl1 2014-2015 6 speed with less than 5000 miles. Only options I need is the recaro seats and the micro fiber pkg.

I Will sell my car private or if I don't have any luck I am forced to trade it in.

What is a fair price or even better a great price to pay on a used zl1?

Thanks

I just bought mine new several months ago. Honestly with the end of the year deals, and you might be better off looking at a new one. When I was shopping the used ones were in the 47-49K range used. I bought mine new for a few $K more than the used one were listed for. There were a couple of guys on here recently that said they bought a new ZL1 for upper 40K range with all the blow out deals.

I read on this forum a few months ago that the 44K new cars are all gone.
Used cars go for 40-50K depending on options, condition and mileage.
I paid 51k for mine with 4k miles on it.

I just bought mine in September. I traded in my 13ZL1, 21k miles and only options were 6 speed, polished wheels, and sunroof. Dealer gave me $41k out of it.

The new car is a 14ZL1, 6 speed, 3k miles, recaro's, microfiber package, exposed carbon on hood, sunroof, nav, black wheels for $48k

Thanks for the tip guys. My only concern now is finding one. I found a red one with all the packages that I want (new) but unfortunately is out of state. Gotta find one here in California. Is Chevy still offering 15/20% off Msrp?

No, unfortunately the 20% off MSRP deal is gone.
But, that does not mean some other sale event may be coming!
Good luck with your search.

These used Zl1's are getting harder to find but I would imagine the 42-47k is the right price range based on your criteria listed above.

You might get lucky and find one in Ca. But they can be hard to find and you'll increase your chances of finding one if you'll consider out of state. Cost me 1400 to ship from CT to CA.

If you buy new you shouldn't need to see first. Used is a different story.

wait a minute.. How did you buy from out of state and register and smog the car here in CA? When I was shopping for my 2015 mustang I couldn't get anything out of state because they are not 50 state emission. Is the zl1 50 state emission?

I have seen higher prices as of late. I wonder if ZLs are in short supply? A month ago the prices were very good on them.

Well like I said earlier I think the supply is running out on ZL1's. There always be a few buyers and sellers out there but I think we've hit the point to where a majority of the ZL1 stock is spoken for.

The only think that would change this is a new 2016 ZL1 coming out and loads of current ZL1 owners selling off or upgrading.

This is just my .02

This may be the case, but if the new Z is considerably more expensive than the Gen 5 it may actually help our values.

I bought a 2015 ZL1 with the carbon fiber vent and Recaros with 3K miles for $49 K a few months ago. About as much as a loaded 2016 SS. I think both ares are quite comparable, but the ZL1 will hold its value better as the SSes are already becoming more common.

Unmodified it is 50 state compliant. I had to smog it once in CA prior to registration.
