ticking after long drive.

So I was driving into work this morning, about a 50min drive and when I got to work I let my car idle for few minutes. During this time, I noticed there was a ticking noise from the passenger side of engine bay. This is the first time I've heard this.
As the vehicle rpm is increased, it gets faster. I'm leaning towards a sticky lifter, but was wondering if there is any common issues.

Erm...roller lifters not likely unless you been hitten 7kplus shifts? Even then.....Check simple stuff, leaky exhaust flange can cause tickin noise, any work done on car?
