Cool Ported throttle body question.

Hi everybody.
I'm getting a Bo white ported throttle body. I have a quick question. I know the main goal for porting it is getting a better throttle response and that's exactly what I'm looking for. My question is will it change the way the car sounds? Will it make it louder or sound different ?
Thanks for the input

Nope. Throttle response yes, louder/different sound no. Gains in horsepower are negligible, <5rwhp but more likely 1 or 2 at most.

Agreed. Adding a CAI will also help significantly and will also deepen your exhaust tone a bit. Oh, and don't forget to make sure you have a strong MAF sensor and do the fuse pull procedure.

Yeah thx guys. I do have a Cai, LT headers with high flow cats, cam and borla atak catback. The car is pretty loud already I was just wondering if the tone will get deeper and more growly. I guess I'll find out soon enough

No change in sound at all. Just ported a TB I purchased from Zyborg off the forum, and the initial tip in is a good bit smoother. Love the results, and for a couple of hours work with a Dremel, it was well worth the $$ spent!
