Supercharger rattle
Has anyone had to replace their supercharger more than once under the tsb? I originally replaced mine around 25k miles, then again around 45k miles. Now I'm at 60k and the rattle is starting to come back. Any ideas or insight on why this is reoccuring?

Did they replace the whole thing once? Then the snout the following times. Have they installed the solid one ? Or revised spring coupler with grease?

If you have original supercharger pre 2014 then the bearings have also been redesigned. If it's been replaced once then it's simple enough diy as you only need to remove the snout. Luckily mine is still smooth *knock on wood*, but I have warranty on the supercharger for another 4 years. After which I may swap it out myself. Hopefully aftermarket has confirmed the effects of solid isolators on the longevity of the blades.

Some of the replacement superchargers have the spring isolator. Spring isolators have been found in all years of ZL1's as well. Perhaps you had a NOS supercharger installed that had a spring. You can check by removing the belt and checking the pulley for back and forth play. If there is some it has the spring.

I have had my supercharger changed. It was still rattling. A month or so later they did the snout. Still rattling. Waiting until spring to fight GM on this issue again. The new supercharger and snout that GM installed for me both have the spring loaded isolator. I started a thread a while back about the same issue. If you search back, you can watch the videos I posted. Try this link:

That's what the dealership said. Also on the invoice it showed they replaced the whole supercharger unit or at least they wrote it that way. Might have to take it in again if the ratttle gets worse :/
