Anyone here work on, with or know Toshiba products?

Anyone here work on, with or know Toshiba products?

Long shot but ya never know what folks do for a living.

Got a D-VR4XSU

The typical channel up n play hold for a reset won’t reset.
Have had it unplugged for 10+ hrs [like told] and I know it not forgetting as it still skips channel 11.

Problem, it got stuck or froze on a real high quality dvd burn, but was a short burn, only a few mins then while trying to stop; it froze. Had to unplug it to get it unfroze.
Now any time you put in a disc, even the one it was burning it says wrong disc.
Even disc I have burned with it or new DVD movies.
Says wrong disc, almost like it trying to resume, playback or finalizing the short burn………...

How do I get the DVD part to forget?
Is there a way to power drain it or do I gotta unplug it for a week?

[Which I don’t wanna do, that means no TV. TV I got only has good pic using the RCA inputs, just have basic cable no box, so I need an in-between. And if you go shopping, not even cheap VCRs have coxal cable inputs anymore, all RCAs.]

Other then that it was a great machine. But I miss being able to burn stuff to DVD.
Cost to much to replace just yet. No chance in heck of a free exchange, afraid of sending it in for service $$$$$
