Using a sub thumb harness, want to know what signal output I'm getting from the rear channels of the head unit to my amp. Looking to properly set amplifier gain. Should I just get a Fluke out and measure voltage on the harnesses RCAs?

You can set amp gains by ear. 3/4 total volume on HU with amp gain at 0. Turn amp gain up until distortion, then back it off a bit. That's how I've always done it.
