If you pinned it and didn't break it you can reuse the tensioner. I have the tensioner with the BTR Stage 2 VVT cam with no issues.

The package that I ordered came with a dampner so I went with that for now, future plan is to be 700 hp. Anyway, I put the chain and dampner in and now the chain is rubbing against the dampner like it is to loose or some thing, is it supposed to rub against the dampner? When I rotate the crank it is kinda looping around the crank sprocket then hitting the dampner. The dampner seems centered. The chain isnt terribly loose but it does have play.

The dog bone dampener will contact the slop in the chain, chains don't stretch they get worn on the rollers usually and very little gear wear. The deal is one way its touching the plastic with the ls3 dampener also....the ls2/7 dog bone is more to keep it from the slop getting more under the gears.
