Exclamation z/28 Fender Flares... discontinued?

We'll I'm trying to order the 4 fender flares from the Z/28, (with a VIN) - but the 3 places I ordered from are showing discontinued, with no updates in stock coming soon.

Anybody know a good place to order in the US?

Here are the (updated) part numbers:

23240634
23240635
23240650
23240651

I just re-ordered front flares since I've had an issue with one of them, and the other one was never installed perfect anyway, so I'm changing them both.

Some parts sites indeed show it as discontinued, but you'll find that others still carry it. CheapestGMParts has it listed, and has better pricing than almost anyone else, too.

I ordered it from yet another dealer, and the parts guy had no issue finding the part (and the part was shipped yesterday).

So in short, no worries, it's not discountinued. Check out the site I just referred to you : )

NOTE: I don't think you need a VIN # to order anymore.

There was a change in part number from what I've seen so its just a matter of using an updated number. Parts people can find them easily enough.

1LEEE,

Is that your car in your sig?

Im a new (to be) owner of a 15 1LE (car is in shipping right now, last one avail in Canada!) and im interested in the Z bits and pieces too. I already have the Z emblems for the exterior (got em monday! Oe parts!) and am looking at the rear spoiler and wickerbill right now on ebay, im looking for any guidance on parts i should be aware of in either aftermarket or that are maybe better to be gotten in OEM only... Im a many yrs 69 Camaro's guy and am used to the old school fastest street car builds so new school is...well, new to me and looking forward to upping my game, and car!

Im looking for the front lip, side flares and skirts, rr apoiler/wicker etc.

And that CAI, is it a GM replacement part or another brand thats made for the Z that you guys are talking about?

Thanks for any pointers!!

M.

Hate to bring up an old topic, but I cant find the answer that I was looking for.

How to secure the Z/28 fender/quarter flares?

I know that there is about 3 screws that secure through the bumper into the flare, and that the flare has 3m tape..... but is there anything else? like a bracket?

Correct - there are 4 little screws that go through the bumper cover in to the flare (bumper cover needs to be drilled). There is also a built-in bracket with 3M tape already mounted - think it has the red plastic strip that peels off. And there is a special adhesive to bond the flare on securely to the wheel well perimeter in places. Note there is a tab that engages to the Z28 rocker and also a front fitting on the flare the engages in to the Z28 splitter at the front. It is tricky to get the flares installed perfectly and securely. There are threads on technique to install.
Pic follows of the inside surface of the Left flare.
