Want a v8

I currently owned a 2013 camaro v6 rs automatic and I love it but I think it's time to move up to the v8.
I want the same year car and with the RS package too but I don't know how to drive stick shift but I'm sure I can learn.
Any suggestions on which ss should I jump on? Never driven one either.
Thanks

If you don't want to learn how to drive a manual and want a 2013, get an auto 1SS or 2SS. I drove manuals for years, but, due to now having a physical limitation with my right arm, I bought a 2013 2SS/RS and love it.

Is there a difference when it comes to power when driving an Automatic vs. stick?

The difference is primarily the interior; the 2SS adds the following:

HUD
9-speaker audio (1SS has 7)
USB (in the center console to connect/charge a cell phone, iPod or other device)
Power/Heated/Dimming side mirrors
Back-up Camera
Heated/Leather seats (1SS has cloth/non-heated)
4 auxiliary gauges in center console under the radio

I got the 2SS primarily for the HUD, back-up camera and the gauges, although I like the other additions as well

They are trim levels. The 2SS is fully loaded. It comes with all the features that the 1SS does and then some such as Welker has stated.

Yes. The L99 engine is rated at 400HP at the crank whereas the LS3 is rated at 426HP at the crank. I wouldn't let that alone be your deciding factor between the two. Depends on what your plans are for the car. Certain things take more time and resources with the auto if you plan on modding it beyond basic bolt ons.

If you're looking for all the 'bells-and-whistles', you need to look at the 2SS/RS; the RS package is an exterior package that adds the following:

HID headlamps with "halo ring"
20-inch 5-spoke wheel with Midnight Silver paint finish
RS-unique tail lamps, also slightly tinted
Body-color matched roof ditch molding (non-RS will be black instead)

I went with the RS package primarily because I liked the 'halos'; my car is black, so the ditch molding didn't mater (non-RS ditching is black).

1SS and 2SS both come with manual transmission standard. Automatic transmission is an option on both of them.

Both come with auto or manual; the auto is the L99 (400hp), the manual is LS3 (426hp).
