Dealer wants $470 to install lowering springs

I've had the Eibach pro kit for about a month, trying to find a reputable (or recommended) place to take my car to get them installed. This is my only car so it has to be somewhere within 15min of my work, which leaves about two shops and my dealership, which they say $470 for the labor. Is that insane?

I have always lowered my own cars. I was thinking about letting my local shop do it this time instead of doing it myself. Their quote was 180 bucks. I asked another shop I work with and they quoted 295. I am considering doing it myself again cuz I dont want to spend 180. Its not that hard really.

Same here! I've lowered all of mine and have thought about having someone else do it for me this time but in the end, I might end up doing it myself.

Depending on the type of shop you chose to install your kit, mechanics charge anywhere from $60-90 per hour.

Regardless of the price make sure it`s a shop that has at least a working knowlege of performance suspension. Good luck.

I can't see it being more than a 2 hour driveway project. If you have tools, give it a shot yourself.
