how many catalytic converters??

Hi guys,

I am having a CEL and it's diagnosed and found to be a failed Catalytic Converter.

How Many Catalytic converters does a 2010 Camaro have??? Mine has a V6 engine..

Under warranty until 80k miles I think.

Yep i believe its 8 years/ 80k miles. Whichever ever comes first.

I just went under my car and I see two converters on each pipe. does it make it a total of 4 converters??

There's 2 on each pipe but they act as 1. You can install High Flow cats like the JBA set pictured below that would only have 1 on each pipe. Some people install catless mid pipes and eliminate them all together, typically with LT headers.

If you're popping a code and you've confirmed you've got a bad cat, you will have to replace the entire pipe with the 2 on them. Not recommended you cut one out and just replace one and leave the other on the same pipe.

Soon as I left California I installed highflow cats. Installed methanol and melted them cats lol
