2010 Gauges

I was wondering if anyone knows if the gauge clusters are interchangeable between Canadian and American Camaros. I would like to get one, but I can't stand the Canadian speedometer, and with the way that the computer just changes where the needle points I could just get a USA spec car and import it. I'd rather not do that if at all possible cause it seems like a huge hassle.

Thanks

I want to go 300mph, lol, yes, I know it is not in mph, but that would be cool if it was, maybe someday in the future.

If you switch the units in the DIC, the speedometer will point the needle to the correct number in mph or km/h

If you have the Canadian speedometer and switch your units to US, conceivably the speedometer could go up to 300mph...not that the car ever could or anything

Just curious, you don't like the Canadian speedo because the numbers are too close together or what?

I always leave my DIC on the digital readout of my speed anyway...

Yeah. I don't like how they are all bunched up on the left side of the gauge and there're huge gaps on the right side. The range of the American speedo would be more than sufficient when in km/h mode.

I wouldn't think you would have an issue with it. One question I have is would you need to change the ECU so that it reports Kilometers instead of miles on the odometer?

I was watching the history channel, and found something interesting though. The master units and NIST are all measured in metric, it is just that the US holds out for convenience. So in other words the spedo is calibrated for kilometers and then is converted to miles.
