Angry So many experts

I've notice and I know I'm going to get the hell beat out of me for this but here you go anyway.

I have never read so many experts on a car that has only been out for 9 months. Am I the only one that is amazed at how many people seem to think they know everything possible about the origin and what it took to make this car? No matter what people ask here it gets turn around as if the one asking the question is a total moron.

Just my two cents.

Go ahead and take your shots so called experts.

Well there are quite a few on here who I would consider experts.. Scott will tell you how many sensors are in the passenger seat. And then you do have alot of dealers here who do know quite abit about this product as well.. I would say for the most part, the ones answering questions are usually pretty accurate in their answers

We are but you look at any post and you will see the trend. Somewhere it will veer off course and the experts will take over. Just look at the thread about the stripes being installed and the talk about mileage

Good for Scott, google and you might find the same answer. Knowing sensors not make someone a expert. You are helping make my point crystal clear.

I'd say there are several who are experts on the engine, tuning, and transmission. Those parts have been carried over from previous platforms, with relatively the same architecture. Also, keep in mind that just because the car hasn't been released for too long, it has been in development for a few years now. It also wasn't the most candid development, details have always been explained and exposed along the way.

Does it offend you that some people do the research to gain knowledge about a particular car? I don't see the need for this post.

I believe Banshee because he has a badge. That and I'm an expert at not disagreeing with anyone who carries a gun (and knows how to use it)

this Scott..
Quote:
Biography: Scott Settlemire was raised in Suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His Father and Uncle were Chevrolet dealers and his cousin still runs a Chevrolet Dealership. This gave Scott a very unique perspective on cars – and Chevrolet in particular - and as a result, he has an interesting understanding of Chevrolets … and Camaro in particular.

He’s been in his words "a rabid Camaro Fan since I first saw a Camaro in person on September 10, 1966."

"Being involved in the Chevrolet Camaro is more than a job to me … it has been a life-long passion."

Scott graduated from Northwood University and worked as Sales Manager for a Chevy Dealership prior to being approached by General Motors. He started his GM career in Philadelphia and held many positions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, Suburban Boston, Metropolitan New York and, of course, Detroit.

He became Asst. Brand Manager – Camaro (and later Camaro Product Manager) on the Camaro/Corvette Performance Car Team and worked on the 4th gen F-car. His official title is "Manager – Chevrolet and Hummer Shows and Exhibits" – but he’s still working with the Camaro team and Chevrolet on the next generation Camaro.

When I went to order my Camaro, I logically and factually knew more about the Camaro than say 10 people at 4 dealerships.

Some people can know alot about a car even though it has only been out for 9 months. Research, discussion, in the know....

If someone dedicates themselves to a cause, hobby, topic or car, what makes them an expert is not how much they say, rather how much of what they say is accurate.
