Storing more OnStar route Destinations

Didn't see this posted so I thought I'd post a tip about onstar navigation. I like looking up destinations on mapquest and then sending it to my onstar for later use, but I hated that it would only let me store 5 destinations.

Today while messing around while bored I found that I could store more destinations. While on a planned route hit the phone button and say "Store Route Destination". So today I went through my list of destinations I stored on mapquest and stored them using this method, then went online and added more destinations on mapquest.

When you need to the destinations just hit the phone button and say "Plan Route" then it'll ask you to say the name of your destination.

Anyway I hope it helps some people out there

do you have to enter the virtual adviser first or do you simply say "store route destination" and/or "plan route"
good tip BTW - I'll try it out later today

You don't have to be in virtual advisor, just hit the phone button and say "Store route destination". Then it'll ask you to enter a voice name tag.

Does this give you 2 separate lists of destinations? One list that you store in the car by saying "store route destination" and one list that's stored through Mapquest and the virtual adviser?

Yes, it's 2 separate lists.
Also as of yet i'm not sure what the limit for the ones stored in the car is, I only have 4 saved so far, I'll try it out tomorrow and see how many more I can store

Do you have to be "moving" and on a planned route in order to store it to the car?
