Anyone try window tints from ebay?

hey guys i need your opinion:

there is alot of tint shops around here but im scared of them ripping my doors apart and then something being wrong with them

so i came across these pre cut windown tints on ebay. do you think its worth it? will it be an exact fit? do i need to take my door panels apart?

Thanks guys!

Unless you've got a decent amount of experience installing tint it's best left to the pro's, It can go wrong really easily. If they are any good there is no need to take your doors apart, Mine was done in less than an hour with no ripping apart of the door. I thought the window indexing would cause some issuess but it is fine. Just tell them not to remove door panel before hand and keep an eye on them while they do it, and if there is any problem anyone worth dealing with will give you a guarantee of some kind. Mine was for the lifetime of the tint (cracking or bubbling)as long as I am the vehicle owner.

I actually got screwed by the window indexing, i didnt wait for the tint to dry i was in a hurry and i got in the car the minute after the finished the tint, and the next day my driver side tint was all screwed up, so i had to remove it. just make sure to wait at least an hour with the doors open.

what tint did you saw on ebay?

I had mine done, he did the side doors with the indexing, than the front window and the back window, by the time they were done I drove out of there and have had no issues...they do not need to take the doors apart, they trick the car into thinking the door is closed by flipping a switch on the side of the door that is hit when you do close the door so the windows are up all the way. I would not recommend trying to tint it yourself, take it in, mine cost me around 250

Seems pretty cheap and they have alot of negative feedback. I would sleep better having a pro do it.

The shop that did mine, ive used many times over the years for diffrent things. When i called them, they told me they had done several new camaros, and had the procedure down good, so i took mine there, and they did a great job, never an issue.

Tinting can go sideways really fast, pay the money and go with the pros.

It all really depends on the quality of the tint and the experince you have doing it. I have bought precut kits, the reason it is so cheap is because it is lower grade tint that what shops use, good for a beater, but there is no warranty. Shops use a higher grade tint, and some can install without taking the door panels off. The choice is ultimatelly yours, you wanna try the precut kit, go for it, but I like the idea of havin the warranty on the time. Just my 2 cents
