Dealer, Discount on Snows w/New Car Sale

I was just wondering if there is any dealers out there that will get us a deal on snows with a new Camaro sale. Pirelli snow are close to $400 each and you have to get all four. I know you can get them from your wholesalers or distributors, why not pass "some" of the discount on to us. It sucks when the first thing you have to do when you buy your new Camaro is dish out over $1600 for snows. Can you cut us a brake and make us happy customers here in snow country. I know the first dealer that will do that for me will have a sale as long as their not charging over MSRP. And hell it doesn't cost the dealership a dime.

The thing is, tires sold to dealers have a set price range that the dealers have to stay within and even then the profit is very small. For big name brand tires such as Pirelli it's typically $10-$15 a tire but can be as high as $50 for unknown brands so if they sell them to you at cost you won't be saving as much as a free oil change will.

So what you are saying is that a dealer can't pick up the phone and call Joe's tire shop, which he does business with, and say, " Hey Joe I just sold a good customer a $40,000 Camaro and he needs snows can you help him out and the next time you need a truck or car I'll take care of you". Sorry I have been in business to long to say that doesn't happen. And I am sure that Joe won't refuse or take of the customer"s" that the dealer sends over.

Not saying it won't happen, just saying don't expect any big savings.

I agree, I don't see many dealers doing this. They want to sell the car, but they're not going to throw in that expensive of extras when you ordered to the car to the specs you wanted. I guess they could argue that you could have got the all season tires. (if you didn't get a SS that is)

$10 a tire X 4 = A tank of gas, I'll take it, it just the point of the dealer making the extra effort.

There is a dealer in the US that did the right thing (IMO)
and is going to sell me a 2SS/RS at a good price and found me a set of snows at a discount with my sale.
