Easy Cheap Fuel Pump 340 lph 700hp
Im looking to find more info on removing the stock fuel pump from the pump module and installing a single 340 lph pump in a ss or zl1.
I see lots of people doing it on the performance truck forums. They say the 340 lph pump will not over power the stock regulator, but the 450 will. Also the 340 lph pump has about the same amp draw as the twin pump from the cats-v. what am I missing

The key is to make sure they are pulse with modulation

Both of those work with pulse modulated and both are E85 compatible.

so with trying to compare after market fuel pumps to the stock ss pump one thing I needed to know was what the stock Venturi flows. I could not find the specs online so I came up with my own test.

so the stock ss Venturi flows 400ml per minute, and that translates to 24 lph I did this test multiple times with the same results. I also back flushed the jets to make sure the jets were clean.
so know if we take the flow rate of the ss fuel pump module ( 190 lph @ 60psi ) and we add the flow loss of the Venturi ( 24 lph @ 60psi ) we know the stock ss pump motor by its self flows about ( 214 lph @ 60psi ) with that info I can get a better comparison to after market pumps |

so for about a $100 you could make something similar to a zl1 pump, but being that zl1 pumps are only $200
