Rental this time

Here's my rental at ALBQ this morning.... a 2019 Camaro SS, wait.......
sorry, my mistake! Its the fascia........

The Charger is a nice ride, especially with the Hemi. It definitely sounded
better than the 2017 Camaro SS I rented a few months back... beefier,
deeper tone.

It doesn't handle nearly as well though. Its a pig on wheels for sure. The
acceleration is no where near as good as my 5th gen, nevermind a 6th
gen... but it does sound good and is pretty stylish in my book. Just bad
that the new 2019 Camaro looks so much like it.

I only got to drive it for a little while during a pit stop in NM before
shooting back to the airport for my next destination SLC.

Anyway, just wanted to share something about this nice ride. Its more a
cruiser in my book than a sports car for sure... but if I was married with
children, I'd definitely consider one.

Trade in your camaro for one and start a tread "am I crazy" lol The dodge salesman's face when you tell him "I want one of them there new 2019 Camaro's, is that the SLT?" as you point to that Charger.

Haha, that there would be a good ice breaker...

I've liked the Chargers since the movie Street Kings.

If you haven't tried one, find a scat pack charger and give it a test drive. They're actually rather fun, especially with the 6.4 hemi vs the 5.7. It's a whole different animal of a car.

Every time I get a rental car I get a charger it’s like that’s all my local enterprise (that sucks) has.

I considered a 2016 Scat pack model before buying and building my 11' camaro, they are actually really nice cars... but the interior felt far inferior to the Camaro

My Director rented one when we were in Phoenix. At every light he would scream out the window at the car next to us as the light was turning green, "Does your car have a Hemi in it? Mine does!" ... and punched it.

We burned thru a tank of gas the first day we were there.

Funny enough, I rented one this morning for work-related travel. Quite a few bells and whistles inside. The 5.7 was surprisingly good, and the car felt light. 8-speed auto never hurt anyone either.

I got into my 2014 1LE afterward for a quick compare. Still like it better!

I was actually more impressed with the new Malibu Avis gave me at SLC. That thing felt light on its feet with plenty of power for a hybrid 4 banger. It also felt firmer on the road, more responsive on steering and you didn't feel like you had to turn the steering wheel too much to make a turn, contrary to the Charger.

Chevy cars just seem more refined and tighter... better built in my book.

I looked at the SRT charger when buying my SS sedan, the SS sedan won my money and moves my family

Awesomeness, thy name is Camaro...

Man it felt great driving it again after getting home from being gone a few days. It is ALWAYS a pleasure getting back in my ride after not driving it for a few days. Just sounds awesome, feels awesome... tight, fast, low and stylish... these really are great cars man...

I don't know if its just love, but no car I've driven since I got my Camaro has even compared... granted, haven't driven a C7 or an exotic... but that don't matter to me... I am plenty satisfied with this ride!

They are very heavy, you can’t out run ugly, and they are one of the most unreliable/undependable Dodge model vehicle you could ever own. At least it is only a rental but I would have choose to rent a different vehicle though.

I will never own a Chrysler product. They've been lower quality vehicles than GM since the late 50's. I've always felt that people who buy them are uninformed. But I'm probably just biased because my dad worked on cars back in the 50's and he drilled that into me. And I was around when the K car came into the picture in the 80's. Absolute garbage.
