Cup Holder Cover

I have read about and seen many different versions of a cover for the cupholder in the 5th gen. I do leather work as a hobby and decided to make own, pretty easy to do, wanted to share a pic of how it came out.

That looks really good! Pardon my ignorance, but why do people want to cover up the cupholders?

Thanks for the compliment! I wanted to cover it as it is more comfortable to rest my arm on, the arm rest in the center console is a bit small for my liking.

Looks great! Didn't you have red stitching to match the rest of the car (my OCD is showing), but anyway I like it.

Great job; like how that fits in the recess area, a big help with manual shifter. Did you put a metal plate inside the leather or was the leather stiff enough as is?
You going to also add a boot to the ebrake handle and leather visors? (stock plastic visors look horrible). Following are a couple more fun Leather Mods for that area:

Leather Ebrake handle boot:

Leather visor cover glued on over the stock plastic visor with Barge glue for leather work so it does not sag (took a while to adjust/custom fit).

Looks great. By chance can you do this for a 6th gen? I'm short (5'6"). My arm only reaches the very front of my arm rest. This would be a great solution.

here is mine. I like it to rest my arm on, also I keep my phone laying on it, doesn't move. (pic is old, my whole center console is leather now)
