TSW Snetterton
Anyone running these WHEELS yet? Looking to buy a set of the following:

I had my heart set on the Snetterton, but called TSW directly today and they said the 22" will NOT fit the Camaro. The guy sounded like he had experience, and specifically said those rims won't clear the brakes. I can't for the life of me see how a wheel that huge won't clear the brakes when other mesh styles can.........but that's what they said.
PLEASE write back if you try it on the car. |

it's less about the wheel size and more about how the inside of the "legs" of the wheel are "scalloped" to fit the calipers. Our calipers are absolutely massive for a stock car. So this will really limit our choice in wheels. Which why so many guys have gone with 3 piece custom wheels. They are made to order.
I too really really like the snettertons, they're a very clean look while not being too flashy. So it really sucks that they said they wont work.

if tsw said it wouldn't fit believe me they know their wheels. probably that wheel is set up for the 7 series bmw and the off set is just not right for the camaro. the bmw 7 and camaro have the same bolt pattern. also check the wheel design some tend to bow inwards and that creates caliper clearance problems . my 22" wheels on the rear are 27 mm offset but some wheels you need 30mm offset so it depends on the wheel company.
