it hurts

The exact car I wanted is coming into a local dealer. Aqua Blue 2LT RS auto.
only setback, $5000 premium and they won't budge.

WOW, someone still charging an premium? There is a black 2SS and a VR 1LT just sitting at the local dealer..of course they are asshats...

The dealership where I bought mine, and helped a friend get his, can't keep them on the lot, and they are charging anything but MSRP.

What lousy dealer thinks they get 5k over invoice at this stage in the game? Contact Camaro Scotty, I bet he could get that same car to you for sticker.

Went by my local dealer one week ago today and had my EXACT car in stock (2SS/RS M6 black on black no ground effects or sunroof). $1500 over MSRP plus $595 dealer fee. The salesman said V-8 cars are on constraint and demand a premium, and ALL dealers charge a dealer fee. I know this is BS because of this site. I will not pay over, or a dealer fee and actually hope to wail awhile to get the best deal possible. I know that it hurts, but I have a feeling that 6 to 8 months from now GM will build me one just like it if I make the deal so I will wait......P.S. the car was still sitting out there this morning...

Yep. With winter setting in people aren't as eager to buy. My dealer (Shaheen Chevrolet in Lansing, MI), has a few on the website, and my salesman told me they have allocations and everything. They honored GMS, USAA and the $500 discount (opt out of the 60 day guarantee) on the Camaro I ordered.

Not to mention that they will send the cars to another dealer.

You might actually be better off getting the car shipped for less than the $5000. So maybe you could take that info to him to get your dealer to budge.

Wow. So is this a Florida thing?

You can do much better than that. There are plenty of dealer happy to sell you a LT2 in Aqua Blue for MSRP or less.

Call them up and tell them you will pay sticker for the car. Your offer expires in 48 hours and then you will placing an order with another dealer. See if they want your business or not.
