Fuel gauge works intermittently

I have a 2015 Camaro SS with manual transmission. My isssue is that most days the fuel gauge stays on E after the car has sat for any amount of time but it will eventually register the correct fuel level. This could be the next time I start the car or days later. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give any advice?

Thank You in advance.

Hmmmm, when I installed my zl1 fuel pump I accidentally screwed up the level sender that is attached to the main pump, the resistor card was not touching any of the metal prongs that indicate fuel level. New one installed and works perfectly now, not sure if that helps.

On my last car the fuel pump wiring harness was nearly chewed through by mice.

Thanks for your help. I was hoping this was a common problem. Well, I'll take it to the dealer and see what they have to say.

It may be a stuck fuel float in the tank possibly.
