I have 440 miles on my SS and when I started it this am 38 degrees it had what sounded to me a valve nock. It went away after a few seconds. I also hear some rear end noise. I will admitt I have been driving a Lincoln for the past couple of years but I don't like to hear a valve nock. Scott

I get this for a few seconds when I first start my L99. The temperature doesn't matter to mine because it is in a warm garage. After having 2 LS1 Camaros, I learned not to worry about these noises. On the LS1's it was a bit of piston slap along with the aluminum engine. I had no problems with either of my LS1's and I assume that the L99 will be trouble free also.
